Police are warning the public in the region to be conscious of telephone fraud.
The OPP says telephone fraud continues to grow in the region, and the methods being employed by fraudsters are as diverse as the victims they target.
Police say residents are reporting being called by fraudsters claiming to be from credit card companies.
The OPPÂ says to use caution whenever asked for personal information, a donation, a special offer or claims to be from a legitimate company.
