Members of Provincial Parliament are banding together in the name of wildlife safety.
A website has been set up to report bear activity in the region.
The site www.northernbearreport.com allows residents to report and post pictures of bear sightings in their community.
Nickel Belt MPP France Gelinas says the data from the website will be sent directly to the Minister of Natural Resources.

She’s hoping to the minister will take the North’s bear problem seriously.
She says we can do better than leaving police with no other choice but to shoot bears that enter our communities.
Earlier this week we shared a report from the MNR stating that police had responded to 100 calls regarding bears.
