Attacks on the forestry industry by environmental groups are growing in concern.
Northern Ontario and Quebec politicians along with some forestry industry leaders met in Timmins to discuss the issues laid out before them.
These attacks greatly affect the industry in the North, an industry that plays a large role in the region’s economy.
President of FONOM and Mayor of Kapuskasing, Al Spacek says the attacks are based off of misinformation.
Greenpeace was invited to attend the meeting but weren’t able to attend claiming scheduling conflicts.
