Northern Corridor Chamber’s annual general meeting to include economic panel

Something new has been added to the annual general meeting of the Northern Corridor Chamber of Commerce next month. President Cathy Courchesne says an economic development panel that highlights projects from the region will give members a broad look at what’s going on.

“We thought that it might be a bit more interactive with the question and answer period instead of doing just the regular speeches that we usually do,” she said. “It gives a chance for every EDC from Smooth Rock Falls to Hearst to talk about what’s going on and what they are working on in their communities for the upcoming year.”

Courchesne says the panel is important especially now after the pandemic.

“Everyone has bounced back on their feet after the effects of COVID,” she said. “It’s great to see what our smaller communities have to offer for each other.”

The Annual General Meeting is Wednesday, Mar. 22 at 11:30 at the Centre de Loisirs. Tickets are available at the Chamber office on the circle.
