Brampton trucker facing 24 charges following incidents on Highway 11

A Brampton truck driver and the company he works for are facing 29 total charges from Ontario Provincial Police following three separate incidents over the weekend.

Police first responded to a traffic complaint of the trucker on Highway 11 near Ramore on Saturday and then two other occurrences with the same driver on Sunday near Hearst and near Smooth Rock Falls.

Among the charges facing the truck driver include, three counts of careless driving and failure to surrender license, two counts each of unnecessary slow driving, failure to surrender inspection schedule, and failure to maintain a daily log book.

An Edmonton, Alberta trucking company is facing five charges including two counts of failure to enter truck defect in a daily inspection report. Police took the truck out of service in Cochrane.
