Cochrane Mayor Peter Politis will not appeal an elections audit.
On July 15th an audit committee met in Cochrane to discuss the possibility of the town’s Mayor violating the Municipal Elections Act.
A complaint was filed claiming that Mayor Politis did not report his campaign spending accurately.
Mayor Politis had two weeks to make a decision whether to appeal the audit and he says his spending was reported accurately.
It’s unclear when the findings will be published by the committee.
