The writs have been requested for our nation’s federal election.
The campaigns will be ramping up, and will see candidates Andre Robichaud from the Conservatives, Heather Wilson from the Liberals and incumbent Carol Hughes from the NDP vying for the Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing electoral district.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper, after meeting with Governor General David Johnston confirmed what will make this the longest federal election campaign in Canadian history, set for October 19th.
