If you spent most of your long weekend outside, Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer says beware of Lyme Disease.

Dr. David Williams is asking those enjoying our great outdoors to be way of ticks which carry the disease.

So far this summer there have been no cases of Lyme Disease reported in our immediate area.

Williams says when ticks first attach to you, they’re tiny. But, the more they feed, the bigger they get. It takes 24 hours to pass Lyme disease on, so finding the ticks early is crucial.
