A press conference will be held this morning by Police in Timmins.
The O-P-P says it has made multiple arrests of suspected organized crime members in the Timmins area.
Police say the warrants were carried out as the result of a year-long investigation into an organized crime group in the area.
We’ll have more at noon after the press conference wraps up this morning in Timmins.
A year long investigation has ended in charges for 25 people. The O-P-P investigation worked on breaking up an organized crime unit.
In the process, they seized over 115-thousand dollars of cash, and around 120-thousand dollars worth of drugs.
Chief Superintendent of the O-P-P’s organized crime unit, Rick Barnum, says around 2000 grams of cocaine were seized.
Along with the drugs and cash, O-P-P also seized 14 cars. Some of the charges laid are drug trafficking, organized crime, and conspiracy to commit assault.
