A ten thousand dollar donation from the land down under has helped the Sensenbrenner Hospital Foundation purchase chemotherapy chairs. Coordinator Mireille Dubosq says the donor’s parents use to live in Kapuskasing but died recently and wanted to do something special.
“So with help of family members he was able to make that donation happen,” she said. “We took some time and sat with the family and we really wanted to connect the donation to something that meant something important to the family.”
Dubosq says they were able to buy three chairs to help patients in the community. She adds that the foundation and community are fortunate to have a dedicated group of donors who still hold their hometown close to their hearts.
“So if people have something particular in mind that really speaks to them and wanted to donate something specific,” she said. “They can contact and come visit us at the foundation and we will make sure to match the donation to what their needs are.”
