This Friday is the deadline if you want to send in a nomination for the Town of Kap awards recognition program. The awards range from a certificate, medallion, key to the town or even naming rights to something in the community. Clerk Chantal Guillemette says time is running out on the current council.
“The last day that our current council is in office is November is November 14th so we want to give them a chance to recognize these citizens of Kapuskasing.”
Guillemette says the ceremony takes place on Monday, Nov. 14.
“It’s a council meet because we still have to do it officially, but where they will be able to recognize the citizens during their term of council the last four years or even prior to — it could be a life-long achievement also because we do have those members of council who have been there 25 plus years. “
A committee will go through all the nominations and choose the ones that bet fit the criteria.
