Smooth Rock Falls’ residents won’t have to wait too much longer to fill up at the pumps in their community. Construction is nearly complete at Smoothy’s Esso Truck Stop and the owners are hopeful of an October 16 reopening.
Employee Yvon Sauve says there have been delays while the truck stop and construction crews wait on inspectors.
The gas station had been closed since mid-September due to gas tank and pump replacement. It’s one of two gas stations between Moonbeam and Cochrane.
