Take Back The Night returns to in-person event next Thursday in Kapuskasing

Take Back the Night, an event that raises awareness against violence towards women, returns to an in-person event in Kapuskasing next Thursday (Sept. 15) at 7 pm beginning at the Riverside Park Gazebo. Organizer Chelsea Mateev says it will be great to have everyone together in show of support. She adds participants can walk, jog or bike a 1, 3, 5 or 10 kilometre route.

“The registration link is on our Facebook page which is Take Back The Night 2022-Kapuskasing,” she said. “If you see one of our posters you can scan the QR code which will bring you directly to the registration page.”

Registration will also take place at 6:30 on the night of the event.

Mateev invites everyone out to the event

“We have a lot of amazing participation prizes ready,” she said. “We’ll have glow sticks, music, food, drinks and other special surprises that we’re sure everyone will enjoy.”
