Kapuskasing Town Council is looking at extending its summer hours with town staff to the end of next month. The Civic Centre is currently open weekdays 8 am to 3 pm to allow people to pay bills and access town services.
Administrator Guylain Baril says that staff wants to extend the summer hours to evaluate the positive and negative impacts on the traffic flow in and out of town hall. Baril adds that it’s going well and it appears everyone seems happy and adapting to the current schedule.
Some town councillors are okay with the move, but believe as residents return from cottages that their routines may change.
