Hearst mayor Roger Sigouin seeking re-election this fall

Hearst is joining Cochrane, Smooth Rock Falls and Timmins that will have mayoral races this fall.

Incumbent Roger Sigouin has filed his nomination papers to seek another term as Hearst Mayor. He will oppose Ed Williamson. Sigouin was first appointed mayor to fill the position that was left vacant in 2002. He has been a member of town council since 1991.

Meantime there are seven people seeking six Hearst town council positions. Gaetan Bailllargeon, Sylvie Fontaine, Martin Lanoix, Joel Lauzon, Daniel Lemaire, Nicole Picard and Josee Vachon have all sent in their paper work to town hall.
