Kap Kraze set to hit Riverside Park Saturday

Final preparations are underway for the one day pop-up festival Kap Kraze on Saturday at Riverside Park. Tourism and special events coordinator Kelly Kraby (Craw-bee) says fingers are crossed that mother nature will bring lots of sunshine.

“There’s yoga at 10 o’clock and Riley is going to be down in the park in the bay to start the morning off right,” she said. “After that, after 11 we have a new Zumba instructor in town here so we are going to get her known here.”

Kraby says there’s even a motorcycle poker rally to raise money for needy families in the community.

“It’s a Ride to Remember. There’s a motorcycle rally that’s going to start at 11 right in front of the tennis courts,” she said. “Any biker is invited to join us go there and get their poker card. After the poker rally is done, the motocyclists will take part in a bunch of different games on Riverside by the tennis courts.”.

There are children’s activities throughout the afternoon plus a heavy dose of music at night including the headliner Mitch Jean. A fireworks finale wraps up the event up at 10:30 in the River Bay.

Admission is free, but you are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to support the Kap Food Bank.
