Tembec Woodlands has released a statement regarding active harvesting for the area.
Dixon and Sulman are the sites of current harvesting efforts and the public is urged to use extra caution especially on our forest roads.
There may be additional traffic in the area because of the harvest and we’re reminding drivers to stay safe out there, make sure to keep your lights clean from mud and other particulate, also check your speed and do not approach active harvest areas for your safety.
There is also grader work being put into Swanson and Cargill Roads so always be careful in loose gravel conditions, especially with the larger forestry vehicles travelling on them.
