Reading bingo returns to Kap Public Library

The Kapuskasing Public Library’s reading bingo is back for another summer. CAO Julie Latimer says about 30 children participated last year by carrying out various tasks on the bingo card.

“Some of them include read a book about a dinosaur, or read a book about a young sibling,” she said. “Read outside, or draw something related to the book you’re reading. There may even be something like ask a librarian about a recommendation.”

Latimer says it’s easy for the children participate.

“And so we give the kid our bingo card then we also give them the stamp and every time they will stamp the square,” she said. “They have all summer to do this until the end of August.”

A grand prize will be awarded at the end of summer.
