Kap Public Library offering craft and science projects at Dominion Street Park

The Kapuskasing Public Library and the Parks Program are teaming up to offer a great kids activity for the summer. Every Tuesday, beginning July 5th children can drop by the Dominion Street Park at 1 o’clock and learn a craft or a fun science experiment. Library CAO Julie Latimer says the library student pages are starting to create a list of projects to do.

“I know one will be a marshmallow catapult which is going to be hilarious,” she said. “I think another one there’s going to be a lemon volcano and there might be some glow in the dark stuff.”

Craft projects include rock painting and very unique bracelets.

Latimer says it’s great the projects will be outdoors.

“And at the park when the kids have finished the activities we’ve presented, then they can still hang out at the park and play and what not,” she said. “So I think it’s very beneficial to everybody.”
