Despite being second, Cote says he’ll be back in four years

Despite his loss in the Provincial Election last night, Conservative candidate Eric Cote says he’s not done with politics yet. Cote lost by 824 votes to New Democrat incumbent Guy Bourgouin in the Mushkegowuk James Bay Riding. Cote says learned a number of things that will certainly help in his future political aspirations.

“I think building the team was key is this one,” he said. “We had great people come out and support us. I think more preparation would have helped us out a bit and it’s never done until the very last minute.”

Cote says he is proud of his campaign team and what they accomplished.

“We said going in that we were going to run a clean campaign and we did,” he said. “All of the volunteers thank you very much. We did everything we could and we will be back in four years.”
