Junior and ladies’ golfers are being invited to play golf in Hearst in August as part of the 100th anniversary celebrations. Economic Development Agent Alain Blanchette says the special golf nights will include a free shuttle bus for area residents who want to come play.
“We are going to send a bus to start picking up people in Smooth Rock Falls, and make stops along the way from Kapuskasing and Opasatika, Mattice and down to Constance Lake,” he said. “And any lady or junior golfer who wants to come golf on those particular days will have a free ride to come play golf with us.
Blanchette says the golf events are a neat way to be more inclusive with the anniversary celebrations by inviting the neighbouring communities to come golf and have some fun.
