Officials from Ontario Power Generation say construction at the Little Long Generating Station north of Kapuskasing is just over half completed.
The majority of the concrete has been finished and significant progress has been made on the new west bay area. Five gate replacements are underway with gates 8, 9, 10 scheduled to go into service in advance of the spring run-off, according to officials.
A permanent bridge for the new east side bays will be installed this fall. The Little Long project is expected to be completed in 2024.
