The federal government through the Economic Development Initiative has made an investment into tourism in Mattice.
The FedNor investment of 42,277-dollars in the spirit of economic opportunities in areas that are heavily bilingual will be channelled through the Club Bienvenue de Mattice to help foster a new country music festival.
This could mean more overall tourism for the region, between the big three – Festival de la St. Jean, Lumberjack and Smooth Truck Fest – this will add yet another attraction to generate traffic in the area according to Greg Rickford, Minister of the E-D-I.
