It was actually two power outages that turned out the lights and the coffee makers between Driftwood and Hearst this morning.
Hydro One says crews were carrying out planned work and encountered an unforeseen issue. It cut off electricity to about 5,000 customers just before 9:20am, and another 1,800 customers a couple minutes before 10:00am.
As of noon hour, all power had been restored.
