Two years after having the event cancelled due to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kapuskasing is once again playing host to the Great North U18 League championship tournament. Round-robin games get underway tomorrow afternoon at the Sports Palace.
The Kapuskasing Flyers won’t hit the ice until Thursday against the Sudbury Nickel Centre Capitals at 7 pm. The Flyers then face the North Bay U16 Trappers on Friday night, followed by the Timmins Majors Saturday at noon. The top two teams in each group advance to the semi-finals on Saturday night with the final set for Sunday morning at 11.
