Habitat Interlude is celebrating International Women’s Day not just this Tuesday, but for the entire month. Community Coordinator Chelsea Mateev says that women are invited to check out the two Facebook pages on International Women’s Day and Girl Empowerment to learn more.
“And women need to just answer to the question of the day and by answering they get entered into a daily draw to win one of two fifty dollar gift cards. And we also have a lot of other lovely surprises in store for all the women for March 8th the International Women’s Day.”
Mateev says it’s been difficult on everyone emotionally with the COVID-19 pandemic the past two years and hopes the questions posted on its Facebook pages will provide some enjoyment.
“It’s a good way to kind of just bring joy to your everyday life to even read other women’s answers. It’s just very positive and uplifting.”
Habitat Interlude has partnered with the Moosonee Family Resource Council for the activities.
