The Town of Kap is getting set to launch its new awards and recognition program in the next few weeks. The new program will be much different than the volunteer awards the town had several years ago. It will feature different ways someone can be nominated from special recognition to a key to the town. Clerk Chantal Guillemette says the nominee can also have something named after them.
“If you have been in Riverside Park the water park you will notice JC Caron’s on the little building near the water park,” she said. “So we did a naming of municipal assets.”
Guillemette says the information on how to nominate someone will be available on its website and social media.
“And we will also share regularly where people can easily find the information and the forms so that they don’t feel pressured,” she said. “It will be whenever you feel like it you think of somebody you can go to our website, find the form and submit. It.”
