It has been confirmed that a worker involved in a mine site accident on Tuesday near Val Gagné died in the incident.
The labour ministry is not providing information, and all the OPP will say is that on Wednesday, its underwater search and recovery unit located the body of “a 48-year-old individual from Timmins.”
An autopsy is set for next week, as the investigation continues. The victim worked at the Taylor mine site for contractor Major Drilling.
