Bookmark challenge underway at Kap Public Library

The Kapuskasing Public Library has launched a year-long bookmark challenge. CAO Julie Latimer says the project was created by the student pages to encourage more children to pick-up books. She adds that children are invited to the library to borrow a book and they’ll get that month’s bookmark.

“The students have also created special bookmarks or extra ones for special occasions for example Valentines or Family Day those types of things,” she said. “Kids also borrow a book and collect those. And this challenge lasts all year anyone can join at any time, we’re happy to have them join. And there will be a draw in December and the price will be book related but it will be age appropriate to the winner.”

The contest is just for children and mom and dad can help them get set up.
