Town Council heard Sentinel Membranes explanation in a special meeting last night regarding the arena roofing project.

Sentinel Membranes presented a timeline which claimed the contractor did not have sufficient time to present a complete bid to the city by the deadline.

They also claimed that their estimate included all hidden costs and that they do not outsource their project employees.

Also discussed were the criteria for hiring a new Deputy Fire Chief.

The responsibility of the position also inheriting the Community Emergency Crisis Manager was outlined as well.

The current Evacuation Coordinator position is being eliminated and the need for a secondary C.M.C. is needed according to the head of Emergency Services, Gerry Deumeles, in case of crisis.

The next Town Council meeting will be held on July 20th.
