It’s an all northern line-up of musicians that will play at the return of Smooth Truck Fest in Smooth Rock Falls this August. Marketing Coordinator Stephanie Rivard says Sudbury’s Larry Berrio, Mitch Jean of Cochrane and Off The Kuff of Kapuskasing will headline performers at the Reg Lamy Arena. She adds that it’s important to keep the costs including admission reasonable for everyone.
“We all live here, we all support each other we are also able to make the tickets more affordable to have a better outcome,” she said. “In 2019 that’s how it ended up happening, we had local artists and tickets were cheaper.”
Rivard says members of the committee can’t wait for summer to get here.
“Hopefully nothing new happens in the future with restrictions and hopefully things will improve by then instead of decreasing, right,” she said. “But we have our hopes high and I personally have faith that this is going to be a great year and a great success.”
The transport drag races are the signature event at the festival featuring competitors from all over the north. Rivard says the committee is working hard on some other major activities and hopes to have more news in the coming weeks.
