Ticket sales are underway for the Sensenbrenner Hospital Foundation’s 2nd online 50-50 draw. The winning name will be pulled on Friday, February 25th . Last month thejackpot was just over $14,000 and foundation chairman Gilbert Peters says he understand that the success of the draw can’t last forever.
“We are going to have to look at other ways of raising funds later on,” he said. “But right now this 50-50 is a huge success and we are going to work on it to make it bigger and hoping it will last longer than we are anticipating.”
Peters says the organization has a broader reach than just Kapuskasing.
“I will make sure again that these people in our region from Opasatika to Fauquier-Strickland are involved in our draw,” he said.
The foundation has raised $161,000 of its $214,000 target to establish a second operating room at the hospital. Here is a link to the Hospital Foundation’s 50-50 website.
