The Town of Kap is hoping the third time is the charm for connecting link grant funding.
An application for $3.4 million was sent to the Ministry of Transportation to help fix a third stretch of Government Road from Gurney Road to the Service Master offices. The total cost of the project is $7.6 million and includes the replacement of the water man and culverts, extending the third lane to the former police station and improving the appearance of the road.
That stretch of road hasn’t been fix in about eight years. The Town of Kap has already received two connecting link applications that have gone to fix up Government Road from the Golf Course up to Gurney Road over the past two years.
