Not clear how many new, active COVID-19 cases in Porcupine Health Unit region

Apparently, there are 15 new cases of COVID-19 in Porcupine Health Unit territory. Or 17.

On its coronavirus website today, PHU reports no new cases and none resolved.  However, the chart at the top of the page lists 2,311 total cases – up 15 from Friday.  At the same time, it says there are 34 currently active. That’s up from 17 on Friday.

It also says 34 are currently active, on its breakdown of which areas are suffering cases. Twenty-one of them are between Smooth Rock Falls and Matheson; seven from Fauquier to Opasatika, four in the Hearst-Hornepayne area and two in Timmins.

Moose News has requested clarification.
