MP Carol Hughes of Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing brought forward the issue of Micro Beads to Parliament earlier this year and now there’s a committee set up for hearings. The committee will hold a public meeting today in Toronto. If you’re not able to attend and wish to get your comments in to the committee you have until 4 pm today. Hughes says it’s important to the environment to get rid of the micro beads.
There will be verbal presentations to the committee today as well.
