The fundraiser in Moonbeam went off as planned. The rain didn’t put a damper on the fun. The fundraiser was to support the children of Emanuelle D’Amours who was killed in Kapuskasing earlier this year. There were firefighters on hand with their trucks for everyone to check out and OPP officer Louis Babin was on the scene with his patrol car. Lights and sirens could also be heard. Included in the events was a 50/50 draw, goodies for kids of all ages and a movie held in the gym. The money raised will be put into RESP’s for D’Amours children.
