NEOFACS Christmas Angel and Toy Drive Campaigns underway in area

About 75 families in the Kapuskasing area will be helped by the Northeastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services Christmas Angel and Toy Drive Campaigns this year. Youth Support Worker Bob Gagnon says it they’re grateful to the business community for hosting their events.

“With the COVID going on and jobs, and everything is pretty difficult,” he said. “We’re lucky to have people like RNL help us out, Walmart and Kap River Farms, Moonbeam Country Store. But it helps us immensely and it helps the community immensely.”

Gagnon says the Angel Tree campaign allows you purchase gifts for either a family or the children in need.

You take it out of the tree and you go shopping for what’s on that list, what is available and in your price range, then you donate it to that family,” he explained “So the donation bins there are some at the town, there’s some here at Walmart and at the NEOFACS office in Kapuskasing.”

You have until November 26 to support the Angel Tree at Walmart. There will be a toy drive at RNL Cleaning Services Wednesday from 9 am to 5 pm.
