Winter wonderland parade headed to Kap in December

Fresh off a highly successful rendezvous event in September, another parade is in the works for Kapuskasing. Rotary Club members are in the planning stages of a Winter Wonderland Parade on Saturday, December 4th at 1 pm. Lead organizer Jennifer Coghill says more parades and events like what took place during Kap 100 is much needed.

“This is to bring joy not just to the young kids,” she said. “Well it’s for everyone. It’s also for the older folks – we’re doing the same route as the Kap 100 had done so we’ll also include the seniors.”

Coghill says an afternoon parade allows everyone to go home and get ready for the Festival of Lights later that evening.  She adds that they want to see more decorated floats and displays in this parade with prizes awarded to the best ones.  If you would like to find out more about the parade, contact the Kap Rotary Club on its Facebook page or call Jennifer Coghill at 705-335-2617 or Don McInnis at 705-347-1558.
