The provincial government is working with public health units to offer COVID-19 vaccination clinics in schools. The English public school board in our region is all for it.
District School Board Ontario North East is the largest board in the region. Chairman Bob Brush says it’s offering space to the Porcupine Health Unit.
“We’re very much in favour of them and we certainly encourage them,” he says. “And so when they happen, we will do everything to promote them and certainly to share that information with parents.”
“We support vaccinations and we encourage all staff, all students, all families to study the science and we encourage being vaccinated.”
Exactly where and when the clinics will operate is up to the health unit.
