This region does not contribute to the high number of new COVID-19 cases in Ontario.
The Porcupine Health Unit says it has no new diagnoses in the last day. That compares to 513 in the rest of the province – the highest daily total since June.
For the PHU, however, there are no newly resolved cases. The current number active is four of the 2,153 diagnosed during the pandemic.
