The provincial forest management plan for the Abitibi River Forest is moving into its final stages, with the final plan possible by the end of the year.
It covers an area from north of Smooth Rock Falls down to Timmins and east to Lake Abitibi. The plan will dictate what happens in that forest for the next ten years.
This phase solicits public comment on the draft management plan. You can also contribute to the background information. That’s all being accepted between September 4th and November 3rd here.
