Two new COVID-19 cases on Thursday

It was a relatively quiet Thursday for confirmed COVID-19 cases in the area served by the Porcupine Health Unit.

Just two cases were reported on Canada Day with one in Timmins and the other along the James Bay/Hudson Bay Coast. As of Wednesday, there are a total of 82 active cases with 68 along the coast and eight in Timmins.

The Smooth Rock Falls, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, Matheson area has six.

There are no active cases in the Kapuskasing or Hearst area. The Porcupine Health Unit will have another update later on this afternoon.
