Ontario is claiming to help the forestry and mining sectors with a 60 million dollar investment. It will connect those industries to natural resources, by building up forest roads. The move is part of an overall 130-billion dollar investment into public infrastructure over the next 10 years. However there is some controversy, as part of that funding is coming from the sale of Hydro One. The Minister of Natural Resources, Bill Mauro is pleased with the funding, saying the forest industry will now have access to the Jobs and Prosperity fund, which is a huge win for an industry that generates $11 billion in economic activity.
