Seven not so lucky when it’s new cases of COVID-19 for Porcupine Health Unit

Seven new cases of COVID-19 are reported today by the Porcupine Health Unit.  They’re all in Timmins. One is blamed on an institutional outbreak; four from contact with existing cases and two under investigation.

The total now during the pandemic is 622.  One-hundred-and-twenty-eight are currently active.

UPDATE AT 4:30pm: PHU is confirming five more cases — all in Timmins — and two outbreaks: The one we told you about earlier in the week at Friends Forever Childcare in Timmins; and one at the Dome Mine. It says there are two confirmed cases at each of those locations.  The case total now since the pandemic arrived is 627.
