Limited supplies of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine are now available at the Kapuskasing and Area Family Health Team. Executive Director Chris Jones says 20 of the 40 doses were administered yesterday with another 10 set for tomorrow and 10 more next week.
“So initially the process was that we were calling the over 55 at risk health condition patients,” he said. “Now we’ve opened that up now to over 55 because the local clinics in town were opening themselves up to the high risk health conditions.”

“Now that we have opened it up to 55 and over, we can accept calls at the Family Health Team at 705-371-2220.”
A spring snowstorm didn’t stop a COVID-19 clinic from taking place at the Sports Palace yesterday. All spots for those to get the Moderna vaccine were filled.
