The Porcupine Health Unit has reached two milestones that all of us would rather drive right past.
Monday night, it reported five more cases of COVID-19, surpassing five-hundred since the pandemic arrived. That number is now 503.
At the same time, PHU reached 100 active cases for the first time.
One of the latest cases is attributed to a school outbreak in the area between Smooth Rock Falls and Matheson. Three others – in the same area – are from contact with another case. The fifth is in Timmins. Its cause is being investigated.
