UPDATE AT 9:00pm: Two more school outbreaks declared. One is at Pope Francis Catholic Elementary School in Timmins, the other at Iroquois Falls Public School. From the Porcupine Health Unit release: “The outbreak at Pope Francis is related to transmission of COVID-19 on school transportation and the outbreak at Iroquois Falls Public School has been declared because there are two confirmed COVID-19 cases in the school which are linked to an exposure at school.”
Three more COVID-19 cases have been added by the Porcupine Health Unit, for a total of 478.
The three are all in the area between Smooth Rock Falls and Matheson. One is confirmed to be from contact with another case. The other two are under investigation.
They also raise the number of still-active cases to 87.
