The Flex Shuttle and the Porcupine Health Unit have teamed up to offer free rides to help seniors 60 and older get to and from their COVID-19 vaccination appointments. The shuttle starts picking up passengers in Moonbeam at 9 am and the Opasatika to Val Rita starting at 1 pm.
Flex Shuttle committee spokesman Alain Robichaud says the committee is thrilled to support this service ensuring that area residents have access to the vaccines. Space is limited and to book your appointment call 1-800-461-1818.
The Flex Shuttle is a door-to-door service for residents from Moonbeam to Opasatika including Kapuskasing. The four year pilot project is financed through the province and contributions from area municipalities. For more information visit the Flex Shuttle’s website.
