As virtual celebrations continue to mark Kapuskasing’s 100th anniversary, the New Democrat MPP for our region took time to salute his town in Queen’s Park yesterday during member statements. Mushkegowuk-James Bay MPP Guy Bourgouin spoke about the history dating back to the early years when it was first created to the struggles faced during the 1990s.

Bourgouin says he and his family have been proud to call Kapuskasing their home for the past 23 years and look forward to many more.
“We have such a great community and should be proud of that,” he said. “So I had a chance to speak on that this morning to promote Kapuskasing and the 100th anniversary of Kapuskasing.”
