Add three new COVID-19 cases to the Porcupine Health Unit’s list. That brings the total so far to 407.
All three are in Timmins; one attributed to contact with other cases, the other two under investigation.
At the same time, PHU is saying that two earlier cases are from a variant of the coronavirus. One of them is in Timmins, the other in what it calls “the area of Cochrane, Matheson, Iroquois Falls, Smooth Rock Falls”. They’re all from the variant originally detected in the UK.
